Villa Sebali’s overall manager is Rita Dewi, a renowned Balinese dancer. She has excellent English and can help with any problems and special requests. She will be sure to come to the villa to meet you and ensure that all is well.

Our house manager is Ketut Muliarta. He is a well educated man who also has very good English. As well as having considerable hotel experience, he is also a good driver and can act as tour guide on request at a reasonable rate. He will ensure your stay at Villa Sebali is comfortable and trouble-free, respond to your requests promptly and make sure you have a good time.

Also in the house are Ayu and Ketut, who are both excellent cooks (Indonesian and Western). All the staff are very good with children. If your party is very large we can employ extra staff from the village. Babysitting can be arranged.

Ketut and Ayu will prepare delicious lunches, dinners and snack menus, all at very reasonable prices. Equally, we can advise on restaurants which can deliver, though our food is so good you are unlikely to use them except for very special requests. And there are dozens – maybe hundreds – of cafes and restaurants within a 20 minute drive of Villa Sebali, from the very modest to top level.

The housekeepers are Ngurah and Wayan (Ngurah is from our village, Sebali). They are hard-working and responsible. They will make sure all the rooms and every corner of the villa are clean and tidy. They have limited English but they are very friendly and warm, so it is a pleasure to have them around. Wayan is also a good driver and will sometimes be available to drive you into Ubud.

The gardeners are Nyoman and Kawi who are also from our village. They are responsible for keeping the lovely gardens clean, tidy and beautiful. The gardens are special, part of the attraction of the villa. As well as tending the many flowers and trees. Nyoman and Kawi grow some vegetables and fruit for the villa in our kitchen garden and orchard.

Gusti is in charge of security. A lovely, friendly man, he will make sure the villa is secure day and night. There is always someone on duty at the villa at night, patrolling the gardens and keeping everyone and everything safe.

Catering Breakfasts - eggs, toasts, fresh fruit and juices, tea and coffee – are included in the rental. Complementary tea and coffee are available all day.
